There are many alternatives of places to live and amount of care to be given with facilities today. Everything from retirement communities (where we live independently but with other people our age and age appropriate activities) to nursing homes to hospice (used during our final waltz).
If you are feeling good and you are looking to downsize your living space, a retirement community or condominium might be just what you are looking for. Many people relocate into a smaller dwelling in the middle of town. This gives them the ability to walk to all of the towns shops and amenities. Another big selling features of retirement communities is that someone else takes care of the lawn for you. This leaves you time to work on your houseplant and gardening skills.
Assisted Living facilities can be a God send to those who need them. You can find these types of facilities in a retirement community which can be great if your spouse needs some extra attention medically but you are still able to hold your own. Assisted Living or Nursing Homes have become more modern with inviting decors and experienced friendly staff members. They are not the dungeons they use to be.
